Resapol is pleased to announce the appointment of Tim Absolom as National Business Development Manager – Merchants. This reinforces our continued commitment to supporting builders’ merchants across the UK.
Tim has been part of the Resapol business for several years and brings with him a strong commercial background and a deep understanding of our product portfolio. Most recently, Tim successfully managed our flooring category, delivering consistent results. This was achieved through close collaboration with distribution partners and a clear focus on customer needs.
In his new role, Tim will work exclusively with builders’ merchants, providing a dedicated point of contact for branch networks and buying teams. His focus will be on helping merchants grow sales and improve category performance. By working closely with merchant partners, Tim will support the development of tailored product ranges, joint business planning, and category management strategies. This is designed to increase sales, improve availability and enhance customer choice.
Strengthening our Commitment to Merchants
We continue to invest in the merchant sector as a key route to market. Over the years we have invested heavily in our product range, ensuring we always have something to fit the requirements. Quite simply, we hold the stock so the merchants don’t have to. Enabling our customers to be more flexible and responsive to demands.
The appointment of a dedicated National Business Development Manager for merchants reflects Resapol’s long-term strategy to provide:
- Reliable supply and national distribution
- Practical technical support and training
- Collaborative approach to growing the specialist construction product business
This approach ensures builders’ merchants can offer trusted, high-quality products backed by expert support from a leading supplier of Specialist Construction Products.
Supporting Merchant Growth in 2026 and Beyond
Commenting on his new role, Tim Absolom said:
“Builders’ merchants are a key part of the Resapol business and the construction industry. I’m looking forward to working closely with our merchant partners to understand their businesses, identify opportunities and develop strategies that help drive sustainable growth.”
As Resapol looks ahead to 2026 and beyond, Tim will be working with merchant customers to build towards long-term success.
Builders’ merchants who would like to discuss how Resapol can support their business are encouraged to contact Tim directly to arrange a meeting and explore a tailored growth strategy. Merchants who are attending the NMBS exhibition in April should take the opportunity to visit us on Stand 206, to meet Tim and discuss growing business.
