Description:

Primer EP Rustop is used on metallic surfaces to promote bonding before applying epoxy-based or
polyurethane-based coatings. Primer EP Rustop also prevents and impedes the formation of rust and has a high bond strength on a wide range of metallic surfaces, such as galvanized sheet, flashing and various types of downpipes, such as in iron,
steel, stainless steel, galvanized steel, aluminium, anodised aluminium, copper, light alloys, etc. Primer EP Rustop may also be used on vertical metallic surfaces.

Technical Characteristics :

Primer EP Rustop is a two-component primer for protecting metallic surfaces, according to a formula developed in MAPEI’s R&D laboratories. Also, thanks to its content of special zinc phosphate fillers, it offers metallic surfaces on which it is applied protection against corrosion and rust: galvanized sheet and metallic components, such as downpipes and flashing. Primer EP Rustop also has the capacity to improve the bond of successive epoxy and polyurethane-based coatings.
