The Resapol Foundation is proud donate to Epic Hope. They continue to be commited to supporting charities and organisations that make a real difference in their local communities by donating £1,000 to EPiC HOPE.
Who are EPiC Hope?
Chosen by our Head Office Ambassador, Shannon Carter, EPiC HOPE is a Wigan-based suicide prevention and mental health charity. They are dedicated to creating safer communities through early intervention, compassionate support and education. The organisation was founded by suicide survivor Ellie Palma-Cass, who was inspired to act after discovering that her hometown had one of the highest suicide rates in the UK. Rather than asking what services already existed, Ellie spoke directly with people experiencing mental health crises to understand what they needed most. The answer was simple: someone to listen, without delay. That conversation led to the creation of EPiC HOPE’s Crisis Harbours and community outreach services. Thereby providing immediate, non-judgemental support to those who need it most.
Today, EPiC HOPE offers a range of life-saving initiatives, including its Crisis Harbours. These provide safe spaces for people experiencing emotional distress or suicidal thoughts, alongside its Mobile Harbour, bringing support directly into communities. The charity also delivers suicide prevention training, raises awareness and equips individuals and organisations with the skills to recognise when someone may be struggling and how to respond.

Why were they chosen by Head Office
Shannon nominated EpiC Hope for a donation and spoke about the reason behind this. “I chose this charity because I think raising awareness around suicide prevention and making sure people know there is support available is incredibly important. After meeting Ellie one evening at the train station and hearing more about the work the charity does within the local community, I was really impressed by the difference they are making. It felt like a very worthwhile cause to support, and I’m really pleased we’ve been able to donate towards the work they do.”
How will they utilise the donation?
The donation from the Resapol Foundation will help EPiC HOPE continue deliver their vital services, ensuring more people have access to safe spaces, compassionate support and practical help during times of crisis.
“We were absolutely delighted to receive £1,000 from the Resapol Foundation. This generous support will go directly towards our suicide prevention work, helping us continue to offer safe spaces at our Crisis Harbours, and bringing vital support into the community with our Mobile Harbour. Every pound makes a real difference, and we’re deeply grateful for Resapol’s commitment to helping us save lives.”.
