IKO Easy-Melt is a modified bonding bitumen, supplied in easy to handle 10kg blocks. Easy-Melt Bonding Bitumen requires less heat to achieve the optimum laying temperature and provides excellent performance and greater efficiency. Its shrink-wrapped block format also offers safer handling and reduced waste on site.
Easy-Melt Bitumen is hot applied, and is used for bonding roofing membranes to themselves, insulation materials and vapour control layers to a wide variety of substrates. Easy-Melt should be installed in accordance with the requirements of BS 8217:2005 / BS 8000:Part 4, on roofs not exceeding 5° pitch. Easy-Melt Bonding Bitumen is broken into pieces and placed straight into the bitumen boiler, including the polyethylene wrapper. There is no packaging to dispose of.
