Mapeproof HW N is an active waterproofing membrane of high-strength geotextiles encapsulating a layer of sodium bentonite. It consists of two geo fabrics, a non-woven & woven geotextile which are needle-punched together to provide a robust and flexible delivery system. The layer of sodium bentonite is pre-confined within
a strong membrane. Thanks to this special mechanical strengthening system, the natural sodium bentonite contained in Mapeproof HW N a bond is created when the geotextile fibres are encapsulated by the fresh concrete forming a continuous mechanical bond. These properties combine so that Mapeproof HW N becomes a self-sealing composite which, upon contact with water or the humidity from the ground, is transformed into a gel with excellent waterproofing properties. The product is very robust, flexible, and can be installed in most weather conditions.
