Superfast Steel Epoxy Putty Stick contains steel for hard, fast-setting repairs. This industrial-strength polymer compound sets harder than ever and will make permanent repairs to anything made of steel or other metals. It also bonds to wood,
glass, masonry, and many plastics. Superfast Steel has WRAS approval, meaning it is certified as safe to use on pipes and fittings carrying drinking water.
Each stick contains pre-measured portions of activator and base – no measuring or mixing tools are necessary. As the epoxy is mixed, the two contrasting colours blend into one to indicate complete mixing. The consistency eliminates drips and runs,
facilitates adhesion to the substrate, and allows the material to be shaped before curing begins. Superfast Steel cures to a metallic dark grey. Once cured, it can be tapped, drilled, screwed, sawed, machined, ground, filed, or painted. It does not rust.
Suitable for interior or exterior use, it is resistant to water, chemicals, and temperature extremes. Superfast Steel contains no solvents or VOC’s. It is non-flammable and releases no noxious fumes. It will not shrink or pull away. The unused portion stays fresh for future use when saved in its original package. Superfast Steel has a work life of approximately 3 minutes.
Within 5-10 minutes it will harden and form a cohesive bond. After one hour, the system can be put back into service.
